Progress and Performance
The paper used for photocopying continues to decrease. While all copiers are capable of double-sided printing, and while IT resources have made many printed materials redundant or unnecessary, there are still many ways to reduce paper waste in our day-to-day life.
After two years of increasing printer paper use on campus, we finally saw a decline of 10% in 2014-15. The total amount of paper consumed during last year was 39,340 reams - around 2.4 reams per person. Of the paper used, we also saw an increase in the use of recycled paper (19% - up 3% from last year), although the majority of paper still comes from non-recycled sources.
